MASTER’S PROGRAM OF ENGLISH EDUCATION AUDITED BY LPM AT INTERNAL QUALITY AUDIT PROGRAM

Medan, October 22, 2024 — Master’s Program of English Education (MTBI) under the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FITK) at Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara (UIN SU) Medan underwent an Internal Quality Audit (AMI) conducted by the university’s Quality Assurance Office (LPM). The audit aimed to evaluate the program’s compliance with the academic and operational quality standards set by the university.

The audit team consisted of three members: Ilka Zufria, M.Kom, Muhammad Siddik Hasibuan, M.Kom, and Raissa Amanda Putri, M.T.I. The audit process, conducted intensively on October 22, 2024, covered various crucial aspects, including curriculum evaluation, teaching methods, and administrative management.

Head of the MTBI Program, Maslathif Dwi Purnomo, M.Hum., Ph.D, welcomed the audit, emphasizing its importance in enhancing the quality of education in the program. “This audit is essential for improving the quality of education in the Master’s Program in English Education. We are grateful to the audit team for their valuable feedback. Their insights will serve as a guide for us in refining the systems and processes in the program, ensuring they align more closely with the expectations and quality standards set by the university,” he said.

Ilka Zufria, M.Kom, the Head of the Audit Team, noted that while some areas require improvement, the MTBI program has already demonstrated significant progress in several aspects. “We identified a few areas for improvement, but overall, the MTBI program has shown considerable growth. We hope the program will continue to conduct regular evaluations to ensure that the quality of education is not only maintained but enhanced,” Zufria added.

This audit reflects UIN Sumatera Utara’s commitment to continuously improving the quality of education and ensuring that all programs meet the necessary standards. The results of the audit are expected to assist the MTBI program in further refining its academic management, ensuring that its graduates are competitive both nationally and internationally.

Through this audit, it is anticipated that the MTBI program will continue to innovate and improve in its pursuit of academic excellence, preparing graduates to be highly competitive in both the professional and academic spheres.
