INSPIRATION Journal Publishes Seven Scholarly Articles in Vol. 4 No. 2 (2025), Marking Its Fifth Year of Publication

Medan, January 14, 2026 —The academic journal INSPIRATION: Instructional Practices in Language Education has officially published seven peer-reviewed scholarly articles in Volume 4, Number 2 (2025), released on December 31, 2025. The journal is managed and published by the Master’s Program in English Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah Science and Teacher Training (FITK), UIN North Sumatra, Medan, and continues to serve as an important platform for disseminating research in language education at both national and international levels.

Now entering its fifth year of continuous publication, INSPIRATION has demonstrated consistency and commitment to maintaining academic quality and integrity. Published biannually, the journal focuses on current and future issues in second and foreign language education, while also welcoming interdisciplinary studies that connect language teaching with social, cultural, technological, and religious perspectives.

Editor in Chief of INSPIRATION, Maslathif Dwi Purnomo, M.Hum., Ph.D., stated that the publication of this issue reflects the strong commitment of the Master’s Program in English Education UIN North Sumatra to academic knowledge dissemination.

“The Master’s Program in English Education UIN North Sumatra strongly supports the dissemination of scientific knowledge. Through INSPIRATION, we hope to contribute, even in a small way, to enriching academic discourse and expanding the body of knowledge in language education,” he explained.

He also emphasized that reaching the fifth year of publication is an important milestone for the journal.

“Sustaining an academic journal is not an easy task. This achievement reflects the collective dedication of the editorial team, reviewers, authors, and institutional support in maintaining publication ethics and scholarly quality,” he added.

The seven articles published in Vol. 4 No. 2 (2025) address diverse and contemporary themes, including the integration of technology and Islamic values in English language learning, the development of Islamic-based ELT materials, critical discourse analysis in education and social media, environmental awareness in textbooks, students’ perceptions of EFL writing, and the effectiveness of ChatGPT in Indonesian classrooms. Each article has undergone a rigorous peer-review process and is equipped with a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring its accessibility and academic credibility.

As a peer-reviewed international journal with e-ISSN 3123-1896 and p-ISSN 3123-2523, INSPIRATION welcomes original conceptual, theoretical, qualitative, quantitative, and review articles with strong pedagogical implications. While English is the primary language of publication, the journal also accommodates studies related to the teaching of other languages.

Associate Editor Reflina, M.Pd. expressed her appreciation for the successful publication of the issue and extended an invitation to scholars and researchers for future submissions.

“We are delighted to publish this issue and to see the growing interest from researchers. INSPIRATION is now open for a Call for Papers for Volume 5, Number 1 (June 2026). We warmly invite high-quality manuscripts that align with the journal’s aims and scope,” she stated.

Through the consistent publication of quality research, INSPIRATION: Instructional Practices in Language Education continues to strengthen its role as an academic forum that supports innovation, critical inquiry, and scholarly collaboration in language education, in line with the vision of the Master’s Program in English Education UIN North Sumatra.
