In the session, Dr. Maslathif thoroughly discussed various techniques in writing a thesis that is oriented towards critical analysis, ranging from thesis structure, argument development, to accurate citation techniques. He emphasized the importance of having a critical approach in academic writing, where students are expected to be able to express in-depth and data-based opinions, as well as analyze relevant issues in their research topics.

Dr. Maslathif also shared tips on avoiding common mistakes in academic writing, such as the use of ambiguous sentences, errors in referencing, and the organization of ideas that lack cohesiveness.
