Medan, September 23 – The Master’s Program of English Education, FITK of UIN of North Sumatra Medan, held an Introduction to Academic and Student Culture event on Monday, September 23, 2024. This activity is carried out by using a zoom meeting. The purpose of this event is to introduce new students to academic values and a campus environment that supports personal development and professionalism.
The event was opened with remarks from the Head of Study Program, Maslathif Dwi Purnomo, PhD, who explained the importance of understanding academic culture in creating a conducive learning atmosphere. “We hope that students can adapt well and take advantage of every opportunity to improve their abilities,” said Maslathif.
During the zoom meeting, students were introduced to various programs and facilities provided by the university, including academic guidance services, infrastructure, and research opportunities. The event ended with an interactive Q&A session, where new students could ask questions and share their experiences. Through this activity, it is hoped that new students can better understand and appreciate the existing academic culture, and are committed to contributing positively to the campus environment.
With the implementation of this introduction, it is hoped that Master’s Program of English Education students can start their academic journey with enthusiasm and clear goals.
