
MTBI Holds Alumni Coordination Meeting to Strengthen Program and Connections
Medan, Indonesia – June 27, 2025 – The Master’s Program in English Education (MTBI) at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) held an online alumni coordination meeting via Zoom on Friday, June 27, 2025. The meeting began at 10:00 AM WIB and was led by the Head of the Study Program, Maslathif Dwi Purnomo, M.Hum., Ph.D., who also served as the main speaker.
This meeting is part of a regular series aimed at maintaining strong communication between the study program and its alumni. Beyond strengthening ties, the event also plays an important role in gathering valuable input from alumni regarding their current career paths and their insights into how the program curriculum can be improved to meet real-world demands.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Maslathif emphasized the importance of alumni feedback in shaping a responsive and forward-looking curriculum. We believe that our alumni’s professional experiences offer essential insight for the development of our academic framework. This dialogue is crucial to ensure our graduates remain competitive and well-prepared, he said.

The program’s secretary, Reflina, M.Pd., also expressed her appreciation for the alumni’s presence and engagement. We highly value the voices of our alumni. During the meeting, alumni shared their current job roles and gave constructive suggestions for future improvements, including the need for enhanced practical skills training, more technology integration, and broader professional networking support. The program team noted these inputs as valuable resources for the next curriculum review.
