S-2 English Tadris (TBI) Study Program in UIN North Sumatera Medan was established based on the increasing interest of English education/literature/linguistics undergraduate program graduates to continue their studies to the master’s level. S-2 English Tadris (TBI) Study Program received permission to open its study program on December 23, 2019 in the Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1159, along with two other new study programs within the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) UIN North Sumatra Medan, namely the S3 Islamic Education Management (S3 MPI) study program, and the S1 Tadris Bahasa Indonesia (S1 TBInd) study program.
S-2 English Tadris (TBI) Study Program accepts the first batch of students in the 2020-2021 academic year, by accepting Regular and Non-Regular classes. In 2021, the study program applied for its first accreditation, and in 2022, the study program received its first accreditation result, namely “Good” Accreditation, under BAN-PT Decree Number 1642/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PKP/M/III/2022.
