Medan, 08 October 2022. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Program together with Magister’s TBI Study Program, Master’s of Islamic Education Study Program and, Master’s of Management of Islamic Education has successfully held The First International Seminar on Wahdatul Ulum (ISWU).
Attended by more than 200 participants, ISWU has contributed to give deep understanding on the integration of knowledge from the perspective of Singaporean, Malaysian, Thailand, and Indonesian academics. The invited speakers were coming from International Islamic University of Malaysia, University of Science, Malaysia, Fatoni University, Thailand, State University of Medan, the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, University of Technology MARA, Melaka Branch, and the State Islamic University of North Sumatera, Indonesia.
Dr. Robbie Lee Sabnani from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, Dr. Mohammad Nor Afandi bin Ibrahim from University Technology MARA, Melaka branch, and Dr. Rahmad Husein, M.Ed from State University of Medan were three speakers who enthusiastically delivered the importance of the integration of knowledge in field of English language education.
“…the integration of knowledge is necessary to be implemented especially in the higher education institution. If more people are capable to speak more languages for instance, they will be able to deliver their knowledge in science, technology, or in another field to global world” said Mr. Dr. Mohammad Nor Afandi bin Ibrahim.
This international seminar is expected to be continued in the next future in order to build global understanding on the importance of integration of knowledge in the field of education.
