Medan, 13 January 2023-An English Language Teacher Training program 2022 organized by Regional English Language Office collaborated with Master’s of Tadris Bahasa Inggris, Faculty of Tarbiyah Science and Teachers Training (FITK), Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara has been officially closed. Today (13-01-23), the General Consulate of the United States, Mr. Gordon S. Church and the Dean of Faculty or Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Mr. Dr. Mardianto, M.Pd., as well as the Master Trainer, Rahmah Fithriani, Ph.D., all the head of study programs in FITK, all the 5 trainers and 25 teachers, the closing ceremony has attended the closing ceremony in Gedung FITK lantai 2.
Mr. Church, as the general consulate, shows his gratitude and exhilaration for all the trainers and teachers who have well finished the program. “I wish there will be more trainers and teachers who want to take a role in this program for the next batch in 2023” said Mr. Church. As this program was organized in other 5 areas of Sumatera including Bengkulu, Lampung, Sumatera Selatan, and Aceh, Medan has reportedly become the one who will continuously accept more teachers to be trained in the next batch (reported by Rahmah Fithriani, Ph.D., the master trainer).
The dean of FITK, Mr. Dr. Mardianto, M.Pd., also delighfully welcomes all the teachers and trainers who will collaboratively join the ELTT program in the next batch. He believes that through this program, more English teachers will be professionally impacted.
